Obituary for Janice Wren Kooken

Janice Carolyn Wren Kooken, 66, passed away on October 28, 2017 at St. David’s Hospital, Georgetown, TX. from a sudden illness. Born on May 7, 1951 in Memphis, TN. to the late James Leland Wren and Lael Jean White Abbott. During her career she worked many years as a truck driver before retiring. She enjoyed painting, loved her dogs and her family and was very active in her church as a Christian woman. Ms. Janice was a Baptist, and a member of Cedar Cross Country Church in Alvarado, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Wren and one sister Judy Wren. She is survived by her husband Dale Kooken of 14 years, one brother Jimmy Wren (Mary Wren) of Saltillo MS, One daughter Christina Locastro Sullivan (Terry Sullivan) Nettleton MS, Two sons Brian Locastro (Kerri Locastro) Fulton MS, Tony Locastro (Jessica Locastro) Fulton MS. and two step daughters Kelli Terri (Mark Terri) Topeka KS, and Darcy Grace Topeka KS, Eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family, and her memory will be loved and cherished always. A funeral service honoring her life will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City, MS. There will also be a visitation on Friday from 10:30am until service time. Internment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS
