Obituary for Pearl Britt Cooper
Pearl Britt Cooper, 102, passed away peacefully at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Born June 2, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Grady Miller Britt and the late Era Ann Dixon Britt. She was a faithful member of Alva Baptist Church, and loved her church and church family. She was retired from Penaco in Grenada after 30years of service. She loved to spend time gardening and working in her yard. Ms. Pearl didn’t enter Baptist Nursing home until the age of 99, and was proud to show off her picture being a member of the “Over 100” club. A very high spirited and loving woman, her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1:00pm at Alva Parker Cemetery in Webster County, MS with Bro. Roger Reeder officiating. There will be a visitation from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jim Suber, Peyton Suber, Trey James, Wade James, Perry Bailey, and Britt Bailey.
She leaves behind a daughter, Paulette Suber of Calhoun City; three grandchildren, Tyanne (Perry) Bailey of Derma, MS; Jim Suber of Calhoun City, and George William James III of Greenwood, MS; eight great-grandchildren; Peyton Parker Suber, Addison Paige Suber, Jonathan Britt Bailey (Katelyn), Lacey Elizabeth Bailey, Kacie Lynn James, George William”Wade” James IV, Sara Love James, and Hannah Marie James; and three great-great grandchildren;Bailey McCoy Monaghan, Britton Mabus Bailey, and Karson Gregory Dyre.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Henry Cooper; a daughter, Charlene Cooper James; a grandson, Jonathan Cooper James; son-in-law George William James, Jr., and son-in-law Jimmy Dale Suber; brothers, June Britt, James Britt, and Earl Britt; a sister, Elsie Mae Davis.
