Obituary for James "Sonny" Bush

James “Sonny” Bush, 81, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Monday, January 15, 2018. Born February 1, 1936, in Big Creek, MS, he was the son of the late Troy Lee Bush and the late Beulah Mae Lollar. Sonny attended Big Creek High School, and was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer, and a veteran of The United States Army. One of Sonny’s greatest joys was tending to his horses and cows. He loved to take care of all his animals, and had an eye for a real good horse. His family joked that he loved his horses and cows more than he loved them. Of course he didn’t though. Sonny’s wife, Beth, and their family fulfilled his life with love and happiness, and spending time with his grandchildren meant the world to him. Sonny leaves behind many memories to be cherished by his family, and they find comfort in knowing they will meet again.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Hartley and Rev. Gladwyn Carpenter officiating.
