Obituary for Etoyle Walls Caudill

Etoyle Walls Caudill, 98, passed away peacefully at Highlands of Mountain View Therapy and Living Center in Mountain View, AR, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Born October 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Hoza Lee Walls and the late Annie Lee Vanlandingham. She was married in 1945 to John Henry Caudill, and they spent almost 40 years together until his death in 1984. She was a faithful member of Duncan Hill Baptist Church, and loved her church family and serving the Lord. Ms. Etoyle graduated from Derma High School, but also attended New Liberty School and Duncan Hill School. She graduated from Draughons Business School in Jackson, and had a very rewarding career. She worked as a nurse during her time at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Her and her husband also managed The Milton, a hotel in Rochester. She also spent time as an inspector at Kellwood. She retired from Holmes Community College where she served as secretary to the President of the College. One of the things Ms. Etoyle loved the most was working in her yard. Some would say it looked like something out of Southern Living Magazine. She was known for being a leader, hard headed sometimes, but she had a servant's heart. Nobody wanted for anything when she was around. A very high spirited and loving woman, her memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Friday, November 17, 2017, at 2:00pm at New Liberty Baptist Church in Vardaman. Bro. Joe Cannon will be officiating, with Bro. Jeff Harmon assisting. There will also be a visitation from 12:30pm until service time at the Church.
Pallbearers will be Steve Walls, Tim Griffin, Norman Griffin, Jr., Steven Walls, Joel Walls, and Travis Thomas.
