Obituary for Lester Boyce Treadwell

Calhoun City---Lester Boyce Treadwell, 76, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Born September 4, 1942 in Rolling Fork, MS, he was the son of the late James Leroy Treadwell, Sr. and the late Lilie Mae “Luke” Treadwell. He was of Baptist faith, and was one of an amazing eighteen children. Him and his wife, Annie Pearl, were married on January 3, 1966, and spent 33 wonderful years together until her passing in 1999. Lester was an avid outdoorsman, whether it was in the woods hunting or especially on the water fishing. During his career he was actually a commercial fisherman for some time. He was also a Towboat Captain for Southern Towing, and developed the expertise to work on and repair outboard motors in his spare time. Lester was a very social person, and loved to be out and about, trading and making deals. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will be cherished forever in their hearts.
