Vardaman---Joseph Boyed “Joe” Walker, III, 64, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Born July 9, 1954 in Ft Benning, Ga, he was the son of the late Stg. Joseph Boyd Walker, Jr. and the late Mary Doris Bessimere Walker. He was a 1973 graduate of Vardaman High School, and a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He also spent many years as a forklift operator at Tecumseh Products in Verona, MS. Joe was an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels and the Denver Broncos. But if he wasn’t watching football, he could usually be found in the woods deer hunting or on the water fishing. A true outdoorsman, he loved to be outside enjoying nature. Above all, he loved his family, and cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. He was a big man with a kind heart and a gentle soul. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
