James “Mickey” Laughlin, 70, passed away at his home on Friday, January 4, 2019. Born June 21, 1948 in Greenville, MS, he was the son of the late James Milton Laughlin and the late Lena Mae Curtis McCluskey Laughlin. Mickey was a graduate of Coldwater High School, and from there he attended Northwest Community College and graduated in 1970. That same year, he and Joyce were married, and together they were blessed with two children, Denise and Michael. He was a member of Montevista Baptist Church, and was retired from Caviness Woodworking in Calhoun City, and spent most of his time doing what he loved, working in his yard. His family says he could jump on his mower and just ride all day. A very loving and gentle man, he will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him, but his memory will live on forever in their hearts.
