Constance Lee “Connie” Reynolds, 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Pontotoc on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Born December 17, 1956 in San Diego, CA, she was the daughter of the late William Douglas and the late Zada Johnson Douglas. She was of Baptist faith, and was retired after working many years as a cafeteria cook for the Houston and South Pontotoc school system. She loved crossword puzzles and sewing, and everyone who knew her knew she loved the color red. She was also a diehard Elvis Presley fan. She loved his music, both his gospel albums and especially his live concert recordings. Connie was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. This certainly kept her busy, and she absolutely loved being a mamaw. Connie had a very rare gift of constantly being positive. She was very spirited and had an entertaining sense of humor. A very humble and content woman, she never let anything get her down. She could make anyone laugh, but was never afraid to speak her mind.
Her family is heartbroken over her passing, but they know that the memories she has left behind will live on in their hearts, and someday soon those memories will once again bring smiles and happiness.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving Connie’s family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 1:00pm at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Howard Rogers and Bro. Fred Hartley will be officiating. Interment will follow at New Gauley Cemetery.
She leaves behind her daughter Margie (Greg) Lunceford; her sons, Douglas (Kelli) Huffman of Pontotoc, Michael (Rhonda) Huffman of Bruce, Jay Huffman of Pontotoc, and Leslie (Candy) Huffman of Vardaman; half-brothers, Billy Douglas of Memphis and John Douglas of Hernando; sisters, Sandy (Ed) Moore and Eva Lynn Eschette, both of Houston, MS, and Diane (Lee) Reynolds of Pontotoc; half-sisters, Donna Douglas and Lisa Douglas, both of Southaven also11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clifford Stewart; second husband, James Reynolds; and a grandson, Jon Tyler Huffman.
