Dorothy “Dot” Harrison Langford, 87, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Born February 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dallas Lloyd and the late Lula Mae Wiggins Lloyd. She was born in Slate Springs, MS, and lived there during her youth. Upon her marriage to Grady “Tic” Harrison, she moved to Calhoun City where she lived, raised her children, and worked at Kellwood Co. for over 40 years. After the untimely death of her husband in 2001, she moved to Traceway Manor in Tupelo. While at Traceway, she met and married Bill Langford (affectionately known as “Son”) from Amory, MS in 2010.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11:00am at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Thursday from 9:00am until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Drew Richardson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Springs Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Ward, Joey Ward, Tyler Harrison, Eddie McDill, Dale Langford, and Richard Milstead.
She leaves behind her husband, Bill Langford; her son, James (Jeanette) Harrison of Atlanta, GA; sister, Betty Dees of Derma; son-in-law, Dennis Buckner; seven grand-children, Kevin (Stephanie) Ward of Ocean Springs, MS; Angela (Eddie) McDill of Forrest, MS; Joey (Maggie) Ward of Athens, AL; Tyler Harrison of Elkin, NC; Dori (Craig) Richardson of Mooreville, MS; Luke (Pam) Buckner of Madison, MS; and Brandy (Nik) Carnathan of Saltillo, MS; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Grady “Tic” Harrison; her precious daughter, Joy Buckner; brother, James Lloyd; and sisters, Eva Winfield and Cora Bray.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women, Lewis Memorial Methodist Church, Calhoun City, MS.
