Tully Wayne Childs, 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Big Creek on Friday, April 19, 2019. Born January 1, 1948 in Calhoun City, he was the son of the late Rufus Fletcher Childs, Jr. and the late Emma Nell Harrison Childs. He was a 1966 graduate of Calhoun City High School, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was retired from Kellwood Co. in Calhoun City as Shipping Supervisor with over 40 years of service. He honorably served in the United States Army, and proudly fought for his country in the Vietnam War. A true outdoorsman, he loved to either be in the woods hunting or on the river fishing. Above all, his family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandchildren, who could always make him smile. Tully was a good man, and he will be missed by the many that knew and loved him. His love for God, his family, his country, and his community will never be forgotten.
