Obituary

Charlcye Ann Goodson Weeks, 80, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Born February 4, 1939 in Calhoun County, she was the daughter of the late Charley Ross Goodson and the late Betty Aston Goodson. Charlcye graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1957. She worked as a seamstress at Kellwood for over 40 years, and was a very active and faithful member of Pittsboro Baptist Church. She had a strong love for music and playing the piano. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and flowerbeds. Charlcye also loved being in the kitchen where she was best known for baking her sweet potato pies. She had an open heart for all who knew her and was always willing to help others. A very kind and sweet lady, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Weeks family.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 11:00am at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday from 10:30am until service time at the cemetery. Bro. Vincent Anderson will be officiating.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Janice (John) Jarvis of Osceola, AR, and Margie Besaw of Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Betty McKinstry.
Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at pryorfuneralhome.com.

Margie, It is at these times that the memories of our loved ones become most important. They keep us connected to them. Praying that the memories you and your family had of your mother will carry you all through this sad time and support you through what will become your new "normal." It won't be the same but it will be okay - in time. ---- Kelly T. Mangum
