Obituary

Garry Wayne “JR” Sanders, Jr., 37, passed away in Grenada County on Monday, April 22, 2019. Born April 15, 1982, in Tallahatchie County, MS, he was the son of Garry Wayne Sanders, Sr. and Janet Puckett Sanders. Garry attended Enterprise High School, and received his Certificate of Auto Body Repair from Holmes Community College. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, and employed as a Band saw Operator with Martin’s Cardboard in Pontotoc. He and his wife Tiffany were married on July 1, 2005, and have spent 13 years together. He loved working in his shop, and restoring old cars. He was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, but also the kind who would give you the shirt off of his back. Above all, his family meant the most to him. He loved spending time with his kids, and always stayed in touch with everyone in his family. A very kind and loving young man, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Sanders family.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Friday, April 26, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Friday from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Rev. George Love will be officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marrico Hayes, Ronnie Braden Lawrence, Al De’Aundra Westmoreland, Christopher Hardwick, Jerry Sanders, Caylon Johnson, William Russell Johnson, and Rickey Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Bryce Sanders, Jace Isaiah Sanders, Garry Sanders, Sr., Earby Puckett, Freddy Puckett, and Anthony Puckett.
He leaves behind his wife of 13 years, Tiffany Hardwick Sanders; his parents, Garry Sanders, Sr. and Janet Puckett Sanders; a daughter, Joslynn Rena Sanders of Eupora; three sons, Aaron Bryce Sanders of McCall Creek, MS, Jace Isaiah Sanders and Jhett Wayne-Truce Sanders, both of Eupora; four sisters, Donielle Farmer of Mountain Home, AR, Tonya Stephens of Brookhaven, Rhanada Clark of Stromsburg, NE, and Patricia Langley of Big Creek; and a brother, Jerry Sanders of Terry, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

J.R. was a great person all together. He was a loving husband and father. God called him home at a young age but he only wants the best in heaven and that he was a great good hearted person. Always could make you laugh. He will be missed dearly.
