Hernando, MS---Robert G. Wagoner, Jr, 79, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Hernando surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 12, 2019. Born April 5, 1940 in Memphis, he was the son of the late Robert G. Wagoner, Sr. and the late Anna Mae Hendrix Wagoner. Robert was a graduate of Whitehaven High School and was of the Baptist faith. On July 4, 1959, he married the love of his life, Mary Wagoner, and they have spent 60 wonderful years together. He was retired from the gaming industry where he worked in casino maintenance. Robert loved working with his hands, and was always building things. He was also an accomplished mechanic. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his grands and great-grands. He also loved his dog, Buddy, which was also considered part of the family. Robert was a very kind and loving man who never judged anyone, living his life by the Golden Rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” He will be deeply missed, but his memory will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
