Obituary

Calhoun City---Letha Newman Bailey, 95, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Monday, June 10, 2019. Born February 13, 1924, in Calhoun County, she was the daughter of the late J.W. Newman and the late Carey Alisie Martin Newman. She was a graduate of Sarepta High School, and a faithful member of Derma Baptist Church. She was retired from Kellwood Co. after many years as a Garment Inspector. In 1953, she married Dale Bailey, and they spent over 50 wonderful years together until his passing in 2007. She loved sewing and tending to her flowers.
