Sheryl Ann Howell Blaylock, 74, passed away peacefully at Grenada Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Grenada on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Born March 2, 1945, in Calhoun County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Lee “Goat” Howell and the late Carlene Weeks Howell. She was retired from Binswanger Mirror Company in Grenada after more than 30 years of service in charge of payroll and accounts payable. Sheryl was a 1963 graduate of Vardaman High School, and was a member of Bradford Chapel Baptist Church. After graduation she went on to study Music Performance at East Mississippi Community College. On June 26, 1965, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Blaylock, and they have spent 54 wonderful years together. She loved arts and crafts and working in her yard, but playing the piano was one of her greatest joys. She began her passion of playing the piano when she was in the 8th grade playing for Duncan Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member before marriage. Above all, she loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. A very kind and gracious woman, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
