Leslie Wade Kimbrell, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Born February 4, 1934, in the Concord Community, he was the son of the late Les Kimbrell and the late Bessie Alexander Kimbrell. Mr. Wade was a graduate of Ellard High School, and was a very involved member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. He was retired from AT&T as a cable splicer after over 45 years of service. On October 2, 1959, he married the love of his life, Martha Sue Whitworth, and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together until her passing in 2018. Mr. Wade served his country in the United States Army, where he was awarded the marksmanship badge of “Sharpshooter.” A man who truly loved the outdoors, Mr. Wade spent countless hours either hunting or fishing. His faith and his family guided his life. He loved the Lord and his family, and was known by everyone for his heart of gold and loyal friendship. God has now called him home, but his family finds comfort knowing he has been reunited with his loved ones who have gone on before him.
