Robert Kent Bingham, 91, went home to sing in Heaven’s choir on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Born June 25, 1928, in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late Guy Victor Bingham and the late Greta Mitchell Bingham. He attended Spring Hill School in Webster County, and was a very active member at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church where he was a proud member of the choir. Mr. Kent had a passion for singing and led many singings at various nursing homes and churches. He married the love of his life, Loretta Ferguson Bingham on November 23, 1948, and they spent 68 wonderful years together until her passing in 2017. He honorably served his country in the US Army Air Force during WWII, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Over the years, he was self-employed as a farmer and cattleman, and also enjoyed beekeeping. Mr. Kent was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being outdoors either hunting or fishing. Known for his contagious smile, there was never a time you met him he wasn’t smiling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but he is now rejoicing in his Heavenly Home.
