Odeen Hamilton Hitt, 89, passed away at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Born August 10, 1930, in Sunflower County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Green Lyles and the late Jenny Vaughn Lyles. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church, and was retired after many years with Kellwood as a seamstress. She married Harold Hamilton on July 7, 1946, and together they raised four children. She loved being outside enjoying God’s beautiful creation. She cherished the simple pleasures of listening to the birds chirping, and especially loved watching her hummingbirds. But most precious to her were her dogs, Snoopy and Princess. Above all, her faith and family meant the most to her. She was blessed with a large family, and she loved them all very much. She lived her life devoted to Jesus, and wanted her family to walk with Him as well. Her family is saddened by her passing, but they find peace and comfort in knowing she is now rejoicing in her Heavenly Home.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hamilton family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 2:00pm at New Providence Baptist Church in Derma.
