Charles Reinheart Keown, 79, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Friday, June 19, 2020. Born October 10, 1940, in Millwood, KY, he was the son of the late Roy Keown and the late Virginia Faulkeson Keown. He was retired after many years as a car salesman, and was a member of Way of the Cross Church of the Nazarene. In 1965, he married the former Sandra Fleming, and they have spent 55 wonderful years together. He enjoyed fishing and cooking. Mostly, Charles just loved to be sitting around the table at Nancy’s for breakfast and just talking with everybody. He was kind of a jack of all trades, and could tell you all about cars, from mechanic work to upholstery. He was a genuinely nice person, and very friendly to everyone he was around. He loved his family very much, and they will miss him deeply, but his memory will be cherished forever in their hearts.

Pryor Funeral Home takes the health of our staff, our families, our visitors, and our community very seriously, and we are adhering to guidelines set forth by President Trump and Gov. Tate Reeves. At this time, we are asking everyone to support the limited gathering and visitation policy set by our government officials. We will be allowing small family groups and limiting the number of people in family rooms to 10 at one time at visitations, as well as funerals at the funeral home. For graveside services, we will be asking everyone to also comply with the required social distancing space of six feet. We’re also advising against hand-shaking, hugging, kissing and other intimate contact.
