Ellen Lee

Vardaman---Ellen Irene Lee, 78, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Friday, October 30, 2020. Born September 30, 1942, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Henry Slock and the late Florence Formiller Slock. Ellen attended Senn High School in Chicago, and was of Catholic Faith. On July 21, 1958, she married Wayne Lee, and they spent 49 years together until his passing in 2007. She enjoyed playing games on the computer, working crossword puzzles, and playing with her beloved dogs. She also loved to keep up with her friends on Facebook. Above all, she cherished her family, and loved to spend time with them, especially all of those grandkids and great-grandkids.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be visitation time on Monday from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Jim Vance will be officiating, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Feliciano, Samuel Lee, Mathew Lee, Josh Wooten, Steven Carlson, and Brandon Grimes.
She leaves behind her daughter, Susan Lee of Calhoun City; sons, Kenneth Lee of Derma and Michael Lee of Sarasota, FL; sister, Eileen Ishmael of Sarasota, FL; and she was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Florence Slock; husband, Wayne Lee; Son, Samuel Douglas Lee; and brother, Donald Slock.
