Vardaman---Ellen Irene Lee, 78, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Friday, October 30, 2020. Born September 30, 1942, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Henry Slock and the late Florence Formiller Slock. Ellen attended Senn High School in Chicago, and was of Catholic Faith. Where do I start? Words can not express how lost I am with you gone. I will miss our Facebook bantering with Minkie. I will miss our posts to each other, sorry those firemen never made it with your coffee. I know you are at peace & where you want to be, but you shouldn't have left us so soon, you were too young. And, darn it, we never made it to Vegas to meet in person. You will always be in my thoughts, I was honored to call you friend. Peace & hugs to your family. Love you!

Through meeting up on Facebook in 2012, Ellen and I became pretty good friends, getting to know about out families and everything that goes with developing a friendship. We had laughter, tears, and great camaraderie almost every day from our first meeting until the present along with 3 others in a group we call the Fab 5, a name Ellen thought of for us. If her internet was down, she was probably working outside or cleaning, with us admiring her energy. She is very much missed already and that is because of the love we had/have for her. My sympathies to each member of her family. You had a wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Blessed be your memories.
