Henry “Hank” Russell Cooper, Jr, (Bubba), 62, born to Virginia Ruth Stoddard Cooper and the Henry Russell Cooper, Sr. on September 22, 1958. Bubba passed away Tuesday night in his home with his sisters, Wanda Cooper, Jackie Cooper Glasz, and Debbie Cooper-Smith at his side.
Bubba was a special child born in West Memphis, AR. He attended and graduated from Happy Time School which later grew and became Stedline Learning Center which is still an active school for “special children.” He worked at Shelter Workshop where he broke down boxes to be packaged and reused. He made many friends who still work there and Bubba kept in touch with them all. He participated in the Special Olympics where he won several blue and red ribbons.
The family moved to Mississippi in 1992 and Bubba quickly found his place in the house and among the church community. He sang a duet with Bro. Billy Nelson once in church and it made his world. He lived and he loved. He loved all the good ole hymns and all the best of country music and a little bit of that good old rock and roll. But out of all he cherished his family the most, and they will miss him dearly.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Cooper family.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 1:00pm at Bradford Chapel Baptist Church in Gore Springs. There will also be a visitation on Saturday from 12:00pm until service time at the church. Bro. Jacob Glasz and Bro. Owen Hitchcock will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bradford Chapel Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Francheska Glasz, Natalie Karow, Ricky Brickey, Joshua Glasz, Jeremiah Glasz, Jonah Glasz
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh James and Ethan Karow.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Wanda Cooper, Jackie Cooper Glasz and husband Butch, and Debbie Cooper Smith; nieces, Francheska Glasz James and husband Josh, and Natalie Brickey Karow; nephews, Ricky Brickey and wife Ashley, Jacob Glasz and wife Ashley, Joshua Glasz and wife Ashley, Jeremiah Glasz and wife Jacquelyn, Jonah Glasz; 7 great nieces, 4 great nephews, and 2 great-great niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Virginia Cooper; grandparents, WB Cooper and Dottie Pendergrast Cooper and Fred and Ella Stoddard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons Bible.
