Kelly Neal Hardin, 58, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2021. Kelly, a life-long resident of Calhoun City, MS, was born on October 14, 1962 to John Mike Hardin and Betty (House) Hardin.
Kelly graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1981 before earning his Air Conditioning & Refrigeration degree and a Diesel Mechanic degree from Itawamba Community College. He owned a local boat repair shop and previously worked for the town of Derma for several years along with regional locations including Hawkins Home and Auto and John Deere. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calhoun City. Kelly enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and setting up breeding fish stock for his family pond.
He is survived by his spouse, Ellen Hardin; parents, John Mike and Betty Hardin, Calhoun City, MS; brothers, Johnny Hardin (Teresa), Jonesboro, AR, Andy Hardin (Joy), Atlanta, GA, and
Tony Hardin (Susan), Calhoun City, MS. He is also survived by his son Dustin Hardin, Calhoun City, MS; stepchildren, Shelby Goff (Slater), Clarkesville, GA and Christopher Mathieu, Calhoun City, MS; one grandson, Bentley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pryor Funeral Home at 109 S. Monroe St., Calhoun City, MS on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The funeral service will take place at Pryor Funeral Home on May 18, 2021 at 3:00pm with Bro. Jimmy Vance, Bro. Chad Logan, and Dr. Anthony Kay officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Johnny Hardin, Andy Hardin, Tony Hardin, Dustin Hardin, Andrew Hardin, and Christopher Mathieu. Honorary pallbearers are Andy Hughes, Danny Hodge, Donny Smith, Michael Barton, Michael Watson, Barney Wade, Kenny Dismuke, Greg Pollan, Toxie Russell, Joe Youngblood, Billy Flemons, Charles Jones, and Larry Patterson.
