Mary Jane Crutchfield, 60, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Born September 27, 1960 in Fort Sill, OK, she was the daughter of the late Robert Russell and the late Shirley Dickey Russell. Mary Jane was a 1978 graduate of Calhoun City High School, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. On December 29, 1978, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Crutchfield, and they have spent 42 wonderful years together. She spent many years as a beautician before retiring. Mary Jane was a great cook, always busy canning food from her garden and cooking for all of her family. She made sure her no one ever went hungry. She was quite the seamstress and spent much of her time making quilts, and clothes for her daughter and grandchildren over the years. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, but her memory will live on forever in their hearts.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 3:00pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday from 1:30pm until 2:30pm at Pryor Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Longino and Bro. Joe Russell will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be R.J. Rivera, Jackie Dickey, Jeremy McCormick, Brooks Lucius, Carl Smith, and Shane Conner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Dickey, Steve Crutchfield, Chris Doolittle, and Chris Devall.
She leaves behind her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Crutchfield; daughter, Crystal Carlson and husband Steven of Hattiesburg, MS; sister, Karen “Katie” Devall and husband Dwight of Big Creek; 4 grandchildren, Courtland Crutchfield, Will Carlson, Lucas Carlson, and Ian Carlson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
