Billy Wayne Arrington, 68, passed away at his home in New Gauley on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Born July 22, 1954, in Calhoun City, he was the son of the late Ben A. Arrington and the late Nellie Hyde Arrington.
He was a simple man who loved being outside and enjoying nature. He liked to sit on his porch and wave at the people as they drove by. He loved mowing his yard and keeping it up, and watching and feeding the hummingbirds and squirrels.
He also enjoyed music and loved playing his guitar. A very kind and gentle man, he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 3:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Friday from 2:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Jim Vance will be officiating, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Joe Arrington, Billy Joe Arrington, Jamie Keith Arrington, Misty Arrington, D.J. Arrington, and Zawon Edwards.
He leaves behind his sister, Linda Tedder of Grenada; brothers, Ben J. Arrington of Calhoun City and Danny Arrington of Grenada; brother-in-law, Johnny McGreger of Vardaman; nieces, Debbie McGreger, Misty Arrington, and Jimmie Arrington; nephews, David McGreger, Billy Joe Arrington, and Jamie Keith Arrington;
7 great nieces, 4 great nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Nellie Arrington; sister, Betty McGreger; brother-in-law, James T. Tedder; and nephew, Rev. John Thomas Tedder.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapel Hill Cemetery Fund.
